Vinayak and Siddhi live in Agra and Siddhi has a sister named Maya, who has a mental capacity of a 9-year-old. Siddhi takes full responsibility of Maya and ensures she is never left alone. Sunaina, their stepmother worries about Maya. Siddhi assures Sunaina that she will not marry until she finds someone who will take care of Maya. On the other hand, Vinayak who is the only son of rich and famous Jayadevi, a shrewd woman who despises the colour black. Vinayak and Siddhi’s paths cross when Maya is about to get hit by Vinayak’s car. Siddhi intervenes and saves Maya, but in anger slaps Vinayak for calling Maya “Pagal” (crazy). Vinayak realizes that he has fallen for Siddhi and promises to take care of Maya and marries Siddhi to seek revenge and make Maya suffer.
